As a fan of Asteroids, here’s few tips after playing several levels.

  • Add some count-down sounds, like pole position.
  • Shooting the object close or getting hit produces the same effects and sound. Change the sound per object and the ship.
  • The upgrade system feels random when it pops up the first time.
  • I would have a couple intro levels to teach the user what there is. For instance, I didn’t like the two-shooter and regretted the upgrade.
  • Shake the screen when the ship gets hit.
  • Maybe some objects can explode into smaller ones?
  • An initial help screen with how to play.

Great game!

Appreciate all the feedback, sophtware!  Will certainly be adding several of these in the future.  (5 days just isn't enough to add all I wanted...)
